ServiceMix is an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) that combines the functionality of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and an Event Driven Arthitecture (EDA) to create an agile, enterprise ESB built from the ground up on the Java Business Integration (JBI) specification.
