swiby stands for "Swing" and "Ruby", it defines a GUI builder DSL for user interfaces using the Java/Swing framework. It is inspired from the JavaFX scripting language. The project is in an experimental stage and should soon be in alpha release.

Griffon is a grails like framework for Swing projects. In addition to the Griffon framework, the project will lilkely become the official home for Groovy GUI modules such as SwingXBuilder, JIDEBuilder, GraphicsBuilder, and new modules such as FXBuilder (JavaFX), FlamingoBuilder (Substance and Flamingo), etc.
